How about this as a minimal change:

Only the ">> Trigger "pre-incoming" (exit status was 123)" is new and it
is set off from the trigger text with the regex /^>> Trigger "/
And the " (exit status was 123)" part only appears for exit status of
non-zero.

That should be easy enough to parse for anyone wishing to do so.

Unless I hear objects we'll go this route.
