Labels in *lots* of systems other than CVS are case-sensitive and this will _not_ change any time soon, if ever. That was _my_ point here. People work with them all the time. I disagree with your fundamental premise that case-sensitivity is harder / less intuitive, FWIW. I'm very much with Derek on this point - if we can lose one of the harder to maintain parts of the CVS code base and make the system more consistent as a result, then *hell* yes.
