Re: Terminated with fatal signal (...lock issues, pserver, 1.11.10 & 1.11.11?)

I was not able get a build of cvs 1.11.11 or 1.11.10 on solaris
2.8 (with workshop 6.1 and MMAP commented out in config.h) that
could last more that a hour without:

1) core dumping, leaving lock files in the repo
-or-
2) not core dumping but erroring out on commits saying message
verification failed, permission denied trying to run a temp file
cvs itself created in /tmp (this happened seemingly randomly on a
file amidst of a commit of many files among many directories).

So I tryed 1.12.5, this has lasted most day and hasn't core dumped
or had that strange message verification failure. It has passed
all the senarios that I had found to give 1.11.11 repeatable
problems. 1.12.5 does have other points of interest that I will be
asking about in seperate posts.
