The "vanilla" cvs-1.12.12 builds on irix and seems to run. The included
GNU getopt is used. There is a getopt.h, but no getopt_long_only. Thought=

Derek's test for "-+" would be necessary, but that's not the case. I do n=
ot
have autoconf and automake, there, so i cannot test the various patches.=20
