-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi CVS Developers, I'm writing this list because the Bug-CVS list appears to be down at this time and I'd like to get this issue out before I forget the details. Builds on Mac OS X fail after a "cvs checkout" because: 1. The "cvs checkout" command creates "CVS" directories. 2. The Mac OS X file system is case insensitive. 3. The "src" make begins with "rm -f cvs" which fails because "CVS" is a directory. I builds by using "cvs export" which works around the problem. Currently CVS development from a CVS working directory on Mac OS X isn't possible. The questions I pose are: Is fixing the build for just this platform worthwhile? Does the current CVS code base deal gracefully with case insensitive UNIX file systems?
