Granted I suppose you could be using Cygwin, but many of us have come to 
expect that if someone is clued enough to be using Cygwin, they will 
explicitly tell us that, because it brings it's own set of ... interesting things.

It does help a bit if folks on windows (and even on other platforms) would 
explicitly include the first 5 lines of output from `cvs --version`.

Because it does happen often enough that someone who would probably be better 
served by the CVSNT group posts here, probably through finding this as the 
first thing that google brings up for cvs.

Though, sometimes even in those cases I do agree with you... the question (and 
answer) is often nearly equally applicable to both the original CVS and CVSNT.
But in this case Arthur did also give some feedback on the question.
