I agree that in that case it's better to play safe.
(There is no such option on the Mac that will let you avoid having a 
trash, so if you move files there, they'll reside there until the user 
explicitely empties the trash. Well, IMHO a good example of platform 
specific needs for default button behavior ;-) )
