Sure. I set the state of AUTHORS file in cvsgui repository. Now it you do
log you can see the state of the revision 1.1 as Line\nLine2:

D:\_Code\_cvsgui\cvsgui>cvs log -N AUTHORS
RCS file: /cvsroot/cvsgui/cvsgui/AUTHORS,v
Working file: AUTHORS
head: 1.1
branch: 1.1.1
locks: strict
access list:
keyword substitution: kv
total revisions: 2;     selected revisions: 2
description:
----------------------------
revision 1.1
date: 1998/11/28 02:47:01;  author: alexp;  state: Line1
Line2;
branches:  1.1.1;
Initial revision

But if I do a graph and click the same node I get:
Revision : 1.1
Date : 1998/11/28 2:47:1
Author : 'alexp'
State : 'Line1'
Lines : +0 0
Description :
Line2;
branches:  1.1.1;
Initial revision

As you see the State only lists 'Line1' and the 'Line2' was in place of
Description, together with 'branches'. You can test against that file to
adjust the parser...
