With the file size it's easy. There are more tricky ones like file
modification date which is not really relevant to CVS context but it may be
usefull to see to compare with Timestamp...

But as I am bracing for stable release these simple requests will not get
too much attention for now, it's something to consider "after" ;)

You are right, it may be useful but it has to be tested to know.
