I think I found the problem (or at least one problem that results in a 
similar error) while trying to integrate the resource fork support into 
cvsnt. It's basically different schemes of handling existing files when 
creating the backup file between the mac-specific copy function and the 
standard copy_file function...
I'll roll the changes back into cvsgui as well once I've finalized them 
for cvsnt and let you know...
(In the long run, though, I'd like to switch to cvsnt as the underlying 
tool for MacCvs as well, since this would allow better feature parity 
with WinCvs)
