OK, I finally got around to check this: I had to fix a few places where 
gtk-only code was still in common sections (mainly dumping info about 
widgets).
I committed the changes to the GCVS_GTK2 branch and now it compiles and 
links fine on the Mac (except that Jerzy's latest Ustr changes are 
missing, which are required by PythonGlue.cpp - could work around 
those, though ;-)
