Yes I can reproduce this. But I observe a change of focus in the
moment the popup apears.

The popup context only changes when realy clicked on an Item in the
respective View.

May be you're right, I have no time to further investigate :-(

This seams to be an issue of your configuration. I also see the
background staying the same for selected items, but the focus item has
a different color for the font, so there is a clear difference.

I do not have gnome environment on all my boxes, on solaris I have
pure Gtk+ installed (and pango, and atk ...). And I do development in
a kde environment (using editor, gcc and ddd) and do not use anjuta
any more.

So for the focus visualisation the question is, is the current
behavior Gnome conform? Should we adapt it to kde/windows behaviour
(cause gcvs not realy is a Gnome app)?

I personaly prefere to have a look and feal of kde/windows.

May be we could make this customizable?

When I'll find time to do the open points on FilesView, than we will
see what's possible for the focus visualisation...
