>Can you explain why do you guys break WinCvs CVSROOT wizard?
As I've said before - we didn't know of the CVSROOT wizard, which is our
fault for poor communication. As for the reasons why info cannot
advertise certain options I thought Tony had already answered, their
technical and I leave those choices to him.
>Is that some kind of MS-style attempt to "promote" CVS Suite?
Since WinCVS is open source, and any mods we make we publish (and have
to) it can't promote CVS Suite. We decided to implement a standard API
for some functions since so many front ends all require the same basic
features - so instead of 10 projects (WinCVS, TortoiseCVS, SCCI etc etc)
all writing their own we implemented one they can all use.
As I said aboive - this was done (or at least planned) before we knew of
any plans to write a wizard in the cvsgui group or to use the info
command to get the parameters. We need better communication between
opne source projects.

I can put it in writing if you like?

It's communication and advocacy.
A. not enough users even know they are using CVSNT - and it makes it
easy for the WanDisco's and Collabnet's to claim that people need other
tools (when they don't). I imagine the majority of sourceforge users
already use CVSNT, it'd make perfect sense for SourceForge to use CVSNT.
B. Since users don't know they are usign CVSNT they can't advocate.

Arthur Barrett
will go with Subversion instead even though CVSNT is a superior
product feature-wise.
