Please Help me..Changes affects all local copies

Hai Everybody..

I am new to Wincvs/Winnt.I installed it and is working fine.The 
problem is, if I keep a copy of my source code in different location 
of my local system and  making some changes,it affects all other 
copies also.Can anybody give an explanation ,Please..
