How to change preference outside wincvs

Hi,

Please help a desperate wincvs novice. I am trying tofind a way to
change wincvs preference outside wincvs. Here is why I want to do
that: I was in flatview when I accidentally switched to the C: folder.
Wincvs started to look through my 70GB files and stopped responding to
my mouse activities. I killed wincvs and restarted it only to find it
still in the same mode. So I am wondering if I can disable the
flatview mode by editing the preference file or something like that.

By the way, I think it would be nice if wincvs responds to mouse click
when it generates flatview.
