WinCVS error for extrenal diff program (WinMerge)

Hi,
 I have a problem with WinCVS in viewing the diff of two versions of a
file. I am using WinMerge as the external diff program. When I try to
view the diff, it shows the diff on the cmd output but still shows an
error code of 1 in the cmd output. If I select the option of 'External
diff program' from Diff Settings, then WinCVS exits showing error
logged. What could be the problem?
I've tried reinstalling WinCVS, WinMerge & Python. But the problem still
exist.
OS		: Windows 2000 Professional 
WinCVS	: 2.0.6.1 (build 1)
WinMerge	: 2.6.0.0 Unicode
