Hmmh - really strange...

A quick google search returned me some svn-related issues that give  
the same error messages on Leopard.
One of them (<http://de-compile.blogspot.com/2008/03/site5-subversion-setup.html 
 >) essentially solved the problem by generating the appropriate keys,  
but since you've done that, this is obviously not the problem.
The other (<http://asinglepixel.com/blog/?p=26>) sort of solved the  
problem by removing an old svn installation in /usr/local. This made  
me think that maybe you've got some old libraries in /usr/local/lib  
that may get linked at runtime instead of the new ones installed by  
Leopard?

Do you have anything in /usr/local/lib that might conflict with the  
system libraries? If you do have stuff in /usr/local/lib, please try  
to rename /usr/local/lib to something else temporarily, then launch  
MacCvsX and try again...

Apart from that, you could try whether the cvsnt tool works from the  
commandline:

- download and install cvsnt 2.5.03.2382 from cvsnt.org and install  
the tool (WARNING: this will override your stock cvs tool in /usr/ 
bin/, so you may need to reinstall the Developer Tools if you rely on  
the standard cvs tool somewhere).
- run a cvs command from the commandline, e.g.

	/usr/bin/cvsnt -d <your_CVSROOT> update .

and see if this works without having to enter a password at the  
commandline.
