format of the arguments passed by wincvs to external diff tool?

Dear all,

we make a diff/merge tool (ECMerge) and would like to ensure that the 
integration with WinCVS will work correctly.

our tool assumes the arguments: [ancestor] file1 file2 [-o output]
where [ancestor] is present for three-way diff/merge, and -o output is 
present when merge is wanted

we did not find any proper documentation about what is expected by 
wincvs, maybe we are not searching the right doc?

any idea
