doubt regarding cvs suite client version trial

Hi Friends

I have installed cvs client version 2.5.04.  I have doubt regarding its
usage. It contains both cvs suite studio as well as wincvs what should be
used for importing the projects.

And where should I set the permissions,rights,roles, etc. Also what is meant
by *branch*.
