I am running MS Windows Vista Home Premium system with SP 1 on an HP HDX18 with an Intel Core 2 Quad CPU Q9100. I have 6GB of RAM.
I have been running the latest wincvs without trouble for some time now. However, this afternoon I got an automatic update of Vista and wincvs stopped working. An attempt to execute wincvs.exe produces an error RS6034, complaining of incorrect loading of the C runtime library. After I reply OK to three of these error popups, wincvs starts but does not seem to have read the database files. I reinstalled wincvs, but that did not help.
Although this did happen immediately after the MS Windows update (and subsequent reboot), I feel I must point out that this morning I also installed WinEdt and MikTeX. Both of those systems seem to work fine, both before and after the Windows update.
