Usually, when cvs removes a file that is no longer available in the repository, it renames it to start with ".#" and appends the revision to the end (e.g. ".#foo.1.2.3"), so you may need to look for an invisible file named like this (in the source directory that was reverted to the main branch).

BTW: this is not an "error", this is the expected behavior and it's also logged to the console output when this happens.
