Updated the comment to read:


 * `cvs add' supports `-k <mode>' and `-m <description>' options.
 * Some may wish to supply other standard "rcs" options here, but I've
 * found that this causes more trouble than anything else.


Will be released in 1.12.13.  Not updating on 1.11.x on the general principle of
not updating the stable tree unless it fixes a user-visible bug.  Closing this
issue.  Thanks for the report.
