In ccvs/doc/cvs.texinfo:

If they aren't running a cvs
command, look in the repository directory mentioned in
the message and remove files which they own whose names
start with @file{#cvs.rfl},
@file{#cvs.wfl}, or @file{#cvs.lock}.

I think that "which they own whose names" should be "which they own names" or
"whose names".
