Problems with folders not showing the update check...

Hello group. I am supporting a team that uses TortiseCVS. This is my first time encountering the program so please understand if what I'm saying doesn't seem right. The issue I am facing is I have a user that performs a CVS update on her system and the repository folder to be updated when completed does not receive the update check when done. This is using a windows XP system with the latest version of Tortise. Any suggestions will be helpful since I am new to this program. Many thanks in advance.
