I have identified the problem: When detecting the format of the sandbox 
(DOS/UNIX), TortoiseCVS looks at the line endings of the CVS/Root file. 
In previous CVSNT releases, this file had the same line endings as the 
sandbox.
However, it appears that it now always has CRLF line endings - leading 
TortoiseCVS to believe that the sandbox is in DOS format.

Arthur, do you have any idea why this has changed?
