My apologies; I didn't read far enough. :( To me, that reduces the utility of TortoiseCVS. It's so easy to branch a branch (thinking you have HEAD), or change an unintended version without that staring you in the face. TortoiseCVS developers: Our December hallmark.com traffic showed 25% of users were Vista with 55.4% XP and 4% Windows 7. I expect Vista and Windows 7 to continue to climb. If possible, please figure out something to provide similar functionality. Otherwise, I would fear gradually losing user base. Thanks in advance for your consideration, Gary ______________________________ Gary Lon Brown Hallmark Digital Tech Lead - Infrastructure 2501 McGee, 5C-N02-1, MD#100 Kansas City, MO 64108 Desk: 816-545-2853 * Cell: 816-718-8804 E-Mail: gbrown2-Vl8Nmh0JAcRWk0Htik3J/[email protected] * Yahoo IM: gbrown2hm Text msg: [email protected] http://www.hallmark.com From: [email protected] To: Gary Lon Brown <gbrown2-Vl8Nmh0JAcRWk0Htik3J/[email protected]> Cc: tortoisecvs-users-5NWGOfrQmneRv+LV9MX5uipxlwaOVQ5f@public.gmane.org Date: 01/13/2010 12:54 PM Subject: Re: [TortoiseCVS] CVS field display in Vista folders in Windows Explorer Gary, Check out this FAQ: http://www.tortoisecvs.org/faq.html#vista That part of the explorer interface will not be available in Vista or Windows 7. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Gary Lon Brown" <gbrown2-Vl8Nmh0JAcRWk0Htik3J/[email protected]> To: tortoisecvs-users-5NWGOfrQmneRv+LV9MX5uipxlwaOVQ5f@public.gmane.org Sent: Wednesday, January 13, 2010 10:15:29 AM GMT -06:00 US/Canada Central Subject: [TortoiseCVS] CVS field display in Vista folders in Windows Explorer I recently upgraded my work PC from XP to Vista. I was able to install TortoiseCVS V. 1.10.10 and it works fine. However, although I get a CVS 'tab' in properties on files in a sandbox that shows Repository, Revision, Sticky tag, etc., those CVS-related fields don't appear available in Windows Explorer, View, Choose Details, like it was on XP. Has anyone figured out how to get those fields to display in Windows Explorer on Vista / Windows 7 or will we have to wait for an upgraded build to handle that for us?
