My guess is that you, or whoever "owned" the folder (sandbox), previously checked out revision 1.2 of the files. This set the sticky bit and thus it shows up in red. You can confirm this by doing a 'cvs stat' command (it may also be shown under properties, but I don't remember for sure).

Subject: [TortoiseCVS] Revision appears red in the revision graph - why?

Hi everybody

I have a folder that contains a lot of files and sub-folders. All the files contained in this folder have a revision 1.2 (all created in the same day at the same time) that appears in red in the revision graph (see attached file red_revision_in_graph.jpg) and I do not know why (the Revision graph section of the TCVS help is not complete yet and I do not know what red means).
This would not be such a problem, but every time I want to make an "Update special" the ":1.2" appears in the tag/branch/revision list (see attached file strange_update_special.jpg). This is not a tag or branch, because if I click "Update list" this value will disappear. In addition, after the update operation is complete, the file [Tag] (from the hidden [CVS] sub-folder) has the value of the sticky tag concatenated with ":1.2"; for example, if I make an Update special for branch "EMS_ChildPrices" the [Tag] file will contain the text "TEMS_ChildPrices:1.2" instead of "TEMS_ChildPrices". Only the [Tag] file of the top-folder has this issue, all the sub-folders have the [Tag] file properly set.
Because these 1.2 revisions were created 6 months ago, the guy who did this does not remember what he did and I am afraid something may be wrong. Can anyone advice what is going on?
Many thanks.

best regards,
Tiberiu
