I used to receive the summary email more or less weekly...   Like Volume 46,
Issue 1: Issue 2, Issue 3  etc.
 
Beginning with volume 47, Issue 1  (April 23, 2010), I have received ONLY an
Issue 1, on a more or less MONTHLY basis...
 
This has been the case for Volume 47, 48, 49, and volume 50 which arrived
7/15/2010.
 
Is this what has been sent out, or am I missing some mailings?



You can check the list archive to see if you have missed anything.

Secondly, in the past, when I have posted to the mail-list, the response has
been mailed to both me and the mail-list.

Whenever I have posted to the list, I have only received the post through
the list, not as a direct mail. Things *might* be different if you are
subscribed to the digest, though.


 
This afforded me both notice of a response AND an ability to reply to that
email with comments or a request for clarification....
 
On 7/15/2010 I posted to the mail-list a request for assistance (Problem
with editor...). I never received any direct email response, the only way I
knew it was answered was by checking the archive, and I never found a way to
clarify the answer that was provided....

Do you mean that, even though you are subscribed to the mailing list, you do
not receive postings to the list? 
 
Well, in particular MY POSTINGS.  In the cited post I never received any
email... either from the responder (which happened to be you) or the "the
list".
The only way I knew you had answered was by checking the archive. And, even
though I had a follow on question... I had no way to post it. 
 I have looked at past posts and in each case I received a email addressed
to me and to the list. (I don't know what you see and how you "normally"
respond.)
My only concern is that I  - somehow - get an email so I know that the
question has been answered and so that I can provide any necessary follow
up.
 
Now, in this case I have received two identical emails.... Is it one from
you directly and one thought the list mechanism?
(I am "replying to all" here where I would normally just "reply")
 
 
Considering this I am going to assume that last time was a fluke... some
failure somewhere in the system... including my email.
 
As it happens I have a question to ask.... so lets see what happens.

 
If this is a "new" policy or approach... May I strongly suggest that you
return to the way it used to be.


Again, this is not something that is under my control. Looking at the list
settings, nothing seems to be changed. I suggest that you file a support
ticket with SourceForge.
