Windows7 X64 Issues

I installed Tortoise CVS 1.12.5 (Plink release 0.56) under Windows7 X86 Enterprise and have not been able to get it to run correctly.
Attempting to update existing CVS project gives me:
Error dialog: Tortoise Plink has stopped working.

In the event viewer I have:

Is there any obvious solution for this?

Note that I have tortoise SVN on same box and it seems to run fine.
