pserver issue with VS .NET 2003

I have been informed that we will be switching from sspi to pserver.  Doing a CVS checkout works fine.  However, when I bring up VS .NET and try to get the application using Open From Source Control, I continually get an "Unable to login in repository..."

I think this is a password issue, as we know need to include our login id with the pserver command, but I have no idea how to solve it.
As an FYI, I have included both the sspi (which works) and pserver commands I use in VS .NET (ID and server location have been concealed for obvious reasons)

:pserver:a******@cib-cvs.usa.*******.net:2401/fire/repo/1pfd
:sspi:cib-cvs.usa.*******.net:/fire/repo/1pfd

This is critical as we are going off sspi by 9PM on Thursday so any information that can be sent my way will be most appreciated.
