I believe you are using the CVS Suite Visual Studio Integration client.

WinCVS, TortoiseCVS, and CVS Suite all rely on the CVSNT client which is
written by March Hare Software (who also contribute to the TortoiseCVS
development).  
 
The CVS Suite Visual Studio Integration uses some 'screens' from
TortoiseCVS during 'Open From Source Control', which is probably why
you've thought the SCCI was a part of TortoiseCVS.  The SCCI API
requires license agreements with Microsoft that prevent the code being
made open source. 
 
If you need support for CVS Suite and Visual Studio .NET 2003 then you
should contact your technical account manager Glen Starrett (cc'd on
this e-mail) or the CVS Suite support team.
 
Note: we strongly discourage people from using the pserver protocol: it
is insecure and stores your password (which may be the same as your
windows password) in plain text on the PC.  SSPI is unique to CVS
Suite/CVSNT and uses the Microsoft Active Directory 'single sign on' so
that no passwords are exchanged between the server and the client - it's
a much more secure and reliable authentication scheme, but does require
use of CVSNT / CVS Suite Server.
 
Note: the CVS Suite Visual Studio Integration is designed for and only
supported with CVS Suite Server - it *may* work with older CVS 1.x and
CVSNT 2.x servers, but that older software is missing many features that
the Visual Studio integration uses (if available) to improve
functionality and performance.

	I have been informed that we will be switching from sspi to
pserver.  Doing a CVS checkout works fine.  However, when I bring up VS
.NET and try to get the application using Open From Source Control, I
continually get an "Unable to login in repository..."

	 

	I think this is a password issue, as we know need to include our
login id with the pserver command, but I have no idea how to solve it.  

	As an FYI, I have included both the sspi (which works) and
pserver commands I use in VS .NET (ID and server location have been
concealed for obvious reasons)

	This is critical as we are going off sspi by 9PM on Thursday so
