View this Revision causing errors

Life was fine on my old machine, so it has to be something configurabl= e that I've not gotten correct. I have a CVS directory on my PC (Windoze 7) and I can edit/commit/add/etc j= ust fine. I pull up the History on a file. Click on a particular revision and selec= t "View this revision", my editor then gives me an error that the temporary= directory "contains an incorrect path". Basically, the temporary directo= ry/file that tortoise should be making does not exist. Strangely enough, when I select two files and do a Diff, the temporary dire= ctory is made just fine, and the diff works like a charm. The directory Tortoise makes is C:\Users\myname\AppData\Local\Temp\TCV#####= .tmp where ##### is a seemingly random number. The default editor for C files is Ultra Edit, and that is what is invoked w= hen I select the "view this revision". Any thoughts on why Diff works and View does not? Any thoughts on what se= tting I can play with to get this working?
