commit/update failure due to permission problems on local files

Hi All,
I'm new to the mailing list, so Hi to you all.
I have a problem following the move to a new PC, Windows 7 and a fresh inst=
all of TortoiseCVS.
I have multiple projects in a CVS repository and TortoiseCVS interacts with=
some of them without a problem.
However, with a significant number of projects, I cannot commit or update d=
ue to permissions on the local files. I cannot see any permissions differen=
ces in the properties for the folder or individual files between those proj=
ects that do work and those that do not.
The odd thing is that diffs with the repository work fine.
The project folder has modify, read & execute, list, read, write permission=
s for set for me.
I'd like some help in narrowing down where the permissions might be set inc=
orrectly.
The error during a commit is thus:
