Old CVS files no longer working

Hi,
We had a linux machine setup for our repository and Tortoise on our Windows=
7 machines using it. Linux machine was retired, and the files were retrie=
ved and put on a local network drive. Tried the :local: with the network d=
rive and it worked then stopped (even though no one else is using it but my=
self) - I know it's not a good idea to do that but not sure if that was wha=
t caused the problem or how to fix it?
Not sure where to go from here - how can I get tortoise working again? I'm=
using the latest version. I even tried copying the network files to a loc=
al drive then pointing tortoise to the local drive. (note I'm not very flu=
ent in Tortoise/CVS so perhaps I'm doing something wrong that's obvious?) =
When I select TortoiseCVS checkout module to set it up and click on Fetch l=
ist it says: (note inside the c:/cvsroot/scs750 there is a directory calle=
d CVSROOT with files in there). Thanks for any help you can provide!
