I used the same Browser for Beta and Prod my cache is suppose to clear 
when I stop/restart IE

I believe the Prod release was July 14th and the Beta was 7/12 or 7/09 ( I 
found the tar files I downloaded last )

I just downloaded the latest and I will try it on Beta.

Any chance your browser has just cached the pages you'd already seen when
you had access?

Well, not much has changed in ViewVC in some time.  I haven't made code
changes in almost three weeks.  But the last changes I made were
authz-related (adding support for authz aliases).  I take it you don't 
know
which nightlies you've been using (because the path names and ambiguous 
and
the tarballs deleted)?
