Hrm. One might ask about your own expectations, such as the one that
apparently leads you to believe that a post with this kind of tone will earn
you a shred of sympathy or a response at all. Fortunately, we rise above
around here.
Tigris.org's redirect-happy Documents tool is a well-known shortcoming.
Fortunately for you, the ViewVC project mirrors all its release archives at
http://www.viewvc.org/<RELEASE-ARCHIVE-NAME>, which responds as expected to
wget/curl/fetch/etc.
