1. What version of ViewVC are you using? 1.1.22
2. What operation are you performing that you'd expect to yield a download=
of the file but does not? Can you include a URL to your server (feel free=
to obfuscate the domain name and path details if you must) that exhibits t=
he problem? http://cvs.cdstiger.com/viewvc.cgi/CDS/Documentation/Clients/RR=
SI10/RRSI10-AEFRRSRM-Remittance%20Export.doc?view=3Dlog when you click the =
view rather than open this file with word it opens in the browser, in the b=
rowser you can see "Branch: MAIN
CVS Tags: HEAD
File MIME type: application/msword" when you view it.
3. What informs your statement "we can see it has an associated MIME type"=
? If ViewVC telling you that (perhaps in its display of the file's content=
s)? in the browser you can see "Branch: MAIN
CVS Tags: HEAD
File MIME type: application/msword" when you view it.

4. Is this a problem that's universal across browsers? Or are you only us=
ing a single browser to test this, and if so, which one? All browsers.

We also added the CO into our Viewvc.conf to get the download and when we d=
ownload a .doc word won't open it and says it is corrupt.

Jeff, thanks for the report. A few questions:

1. What version of ViewVC are you using?
2. What operation are you performing that you'd expect to yield a download=

This information should help us get to the bottom of your concern. Thanks!
