Hello everybody, I know this error has been reported many times but the proposed solution doesn't work for me. I have a RHEL 4 production server running Apache 2.0.52, Subversion 1.4.4, Python 2.3.4, SWIG 1.3.25 and ViewVC 1.0.7. I have created a test server on Vmware to test the upgrade of lots of things. The VM worked fine, ViewVC included, before I started the upgrade. This is what I upgraded. All packages have been built from source: Apache 2.2.11, Neon 0.28.4, SQLite 3.6.13, PHP 5.2.9, Perl 5.10.0, Python 2.6.2, SWIG 1.3.39, Subversion 1.6.1 (Perl and Python binding included). My /usr/local/lib/python2.6/site-packages/subversion.pth file looks like this /usr/local/lib/svn-python /usr/local/lib/svn-python/svn /usr/local/lib/svn-python/libsvn If I run python -c "from svn import client" I don't have the error. I don't have anything which is expected (I think, don't know much about python). But if I try and look at one of my repositories (either created with the old version of Subversion or the new one, although I'm not sure this matters) with ViewVC I get the error in th subject. Could the problem be that ViewVC is still "using" Python 2.3.4, instead of 2.6.2? I have not removed the python package becuase there are lots of dependencies which I'm not sure I could resolve (I mean, some packages may be erased no problem but others I'm not so sure). But if this is the problem, I don't know how to solve it. 'which python' returns the latest one. If you need any info please let me know. Also, please Reply-All as I'm not subscribed to the list.
