Is ViewVC able to cache/buffer/store_in_DB the output of svn blame? Or does it just launch a new "svn blame" command (and parses the output) every time someone requests such an annotation view through the web interface? We are having a lot of trouble with the performance of svn blame for large files (see this thread on the subversion users mailinglist: http://subversion.tigris.org/ds/viewMessage.do?dsForumId=1065&dsMessageId=2079688). If ViewVC would be able to store pre-calculated diffs/annotations, that would be a very useful workaround for this problem. I've searched info on the viewvc homepage, faq, docs, mailinglist... but it's not clear to me whether viewVC does any such caching. Or have I overlooked something?
