RE: [viewvc-users] setting RCSINIT variable

This link says, RCSINIT variable was setup and system was rebooted. I'm
looking for that specific system file in which this variable can be set.

 

There was also, another approach which I could locate:

 

Setting "use_rcsparse = 1" ; however, it says feature is still in
experimental state. Any link which gives information, what all can be
achieved and what not by using this approach.

it's because your RCS utilities don't recognize the RCS file suffix and

string in your RCSINIT environment variable:
 
    -x,v

variable has an effect. See "Changes made to..." in the TROUBLESHOOTING
section.
 

 

But I'm not able to locate where to set this variable. I am using viewvc
1.0.8 version and trying to integrate it with CVS (version 1.11.20) on
Linux system. Any information would be helpful.
