I just committed a 32MB executable. Downloading via viewvc worked just 
fine from both IE8 and Firefox. IE8 stripped the extension, but the 
content hasn't changed and was perfectly valid. So no problems here.

But please note that I run my own x64 Subversion environment including 
python 2.6.1 x64, so not a typical Windows environment.

(Btw, is mime-types the right way to convince viewvc to _not_ show the 
content of a file in the markup view? That works pretty badly with a 
32MB binary file :))
