[viewvc-users] viewvc-1.1.2 and copied paths in log view

Hi,

I'm prepping to move to 1.1.2 from a 1.1-dev release, and noticed a behavior
change in the way copied resources are shown in the revision log view that I'm
not sure is intentional.  Looked through the list, issue tracker, commits and
the code a little to see if I could find a relevant change, but so far not
finding an answer, so I'm hoping someone can help provide insight.

If I browse to a particular rev (view=revision) that contains copied resources,
the copied paths are reflected in the result, e.g. 'Changed paths' includes a
non-href'ed message '(Copied from path/to/resource, r1234) below the link to
each changed item.  If, however, I view the revision log (view=log) for a given
file that was copied, the ancestors are no longer listed directly in the result
- there is instead now only an href to 'Copied from: path/to/resource revision
1234', and the file is listed as 'Added' vs. 'Modified'.

This has the side effect of preventing a 'Diff to previous' between the first
copied version and its ancestor directly in viewvc, and while I can think of
reasons why it might _not_ ought to behave that way, presenting the full
ancestry seems more in line with what would be seen using 'svn log', and FWIW,
with the behavior in 1.0.5 and at least some 1.1 pre-release revs.

Anyone else see this behavior, and/or know if this was this an intentional
feature change, or just a bug?
