Interesting ... why does checkout_magic make a difference, I wonder?  All
checkout_magic does is dictate the format of the URLs for the checkout view,
whether they look like (with "checkout_magic=1"):

   .../*checkout*/some/path.svg

or (with "checkout_magic=0"):

   .../some/path.svg?view=co

And having "default_file_view=co" should make even the "view" CGI parameter
unnecessary:

   .../some/path.svg
