Jon,

I added that portion, and now have a password prompt. However, it still
only shows the repositories that are globally accessible, not the ones
that are accessible by the user that I authenticated as. Here is my
vhost config for apache.

----------viewvc.conf for apache vhost
<Directory /var/opt/viewvc-1.1.2/bin/cgi>
        Allow from all
        Order allow,deny
        Options ExecCGI -Indexes
        AllowOverride None
</Directory>

NameVirtualHost svnhost:8080

<VirtualHost svnhost:8080>
        DocumentRoot /var/opt/subversion
        ServerName svnhost
        ServerAlias svnhost.trdlnk.com svnhost.wacker.trdlnk.com
        Options FollowSymLinks
        ScriptAlias / /var/opt/viewvc-1.1.2/bin/cgi/viewvc.cgi/
        #ScriptAlias / /usr/local/viewvc-1.1.2/bin/cgi/
        Alias /docroot /var/opt/viewvc-1.1.2/templates/docroot
</VirtualHost>

<Directory /var/opt>
        Options FollowSymLinks
</Directory>

<Directory /var/opt/subversion>
        Allow from all
        Order allow,deny
        Options FollowSymLinks ExecCGI
        #DirectoryIndex index.cgi
        AllowOverride None
</Directory>

<Location />
        AuthType Basic
        AuthName "ViewVC"
        AuthBasicProvider file
        AuthUserFile /var/opt/subversion/auth/authuserfile
        Require valid-user
</Location>
