I've been able to fix the first issue, looking at Python's bug reports I found there could be issues to output to a Windows console if the Lucida Console font is used as the console font (and probably other TrueType fonts). If the raster font is set, cvsdbadmin will work, the string output will not be perfect, but at least no exception will interrupt the build/update of the database. I understand the issues for CVS output, of course without help from a the vcs engine parsing can happen just in a "best effort" way. I'll try to ask CVS users to avoid non-English characters, when possible. Thank you for the prompt reply, regards. Luigi D.
