I was reminded elsewhere today that one other thing you can do is to configure your web server to serve up ViewVC's "docroot" directory statically, and then tweak the 'docroot' viewvc.conf option to point to that static prefix. That way all the "extra" requests (for icons, stylesheets, etc.) can be more efficiently served by the web server without going through ViewVC itself. -- C.
