While developing ViewVC 1.1.0, I grew disillusioned by the sheer number of markup-providing integrations ViewVC had, and the fact that not a one of them had the same capabilities as any other one. So I started from scratch, tossing all the old integrations and introducing a single markup integration with the Pygments Python-based syntax highlighting engine. The resulting code simplicity has since allow me to more easily unify the markup and annotate views, with an eye on providing syntax coloration for diff view in the future, too. So, if you're looking specifically for 'highlight' integration, you won't find it anymore. If you're looking for syntax coloration in general, though, I can assure you it is there.
