[viewvc-users] Problem with rss feeds after Upgrading ViewVC 1.1.15 to 1.1.17

Hi there

I upgraded viewvc from the earlier version1.1.15 to 1.1.17.
After this I'could not show the changes made in CVS or subversion as an RSS Feed. I checked the config files more than once, but no chance to see any errors.

The browser shows any directory in CVS and the state of the stored files. But on the buttom of the webpage I'll see the link to the rss feed in the following format:
https://repositoryserver/viewvc/cvs/cvstest/?date=month&view=query&sortby=file&format=rss
or for the subversion repository
https://repositoryserver/viewvc/svnrepo/?date=month&view=query&format=rss

For both I got the error message:
An Exception Has Occurred
The root 'cvs' was not found in the commit database

I could not find anything to eliminate this error or fixing this.
May you give me a hint, a list of tricks anything will be welcome and helped us to bring this function back to work ...
