The filesize limit option is still present and honored in ViewVC (and by
extension, in SubversionEdge's included ViewVC).  Perhaps it just
doesn't appear in the viewvc.conf file in Edge because that product is
fine with the default value of the option?

Also, the behavior around which view is used by default for files when
navigating the tree is largely template-driven.  Subversion Edge ships
its own ViewVC templates, so you should probably raise these questions
over on their forums.
