I'm referring to the background color of relevant lines in side-by-side diffs, instead of or as a complement to the < | > characters. It's kind of hard to get a good overview without affected lines colorized. I've never used the "vanilla" version of Viewvc. Perhaps the version bundled with Collabnet SVN Edge doesn't support this?
